A new coffee shop in the Bronx has a California-chic vibe to it. 

The Miles Coffee Bar on East Tremont Avenue in Throgs Neck opened sixth months ago.

The shop has a bright, modern look to it with a backyard area as well.

The shop's owner and head barista both grew up in the neighborhood and say they're happy to have their type of gathering place in the Bronx.

The Miles Coffee Bar offers treats for people to enjoy like organic, fair-trade coffee, pastries and handmade toasts and sandwiches.
