The borough is busy getting ready for the official start of Bronx Week 2018.

A kickoff ceremony was held Monday at the Mott Haven Bar and Grill. It was filled with local officials and sponsors for the 10-day celebration, featuring arts, family-focused activities and the continued drive to get the Bronx healthy.

"We're going to be promoting walking and eating healthy, we will have a concert and many giveaways with many community organizations that promote healthy living," says Lilliam Perez, of the Montefiore Medical Network.

On Monday, the newest inductees of the Bronx Walk of Fame were revealed. They are rapper Slick Rick, actress Maggie Siff and Tarana Burke, founder of the MeToo movement.

Bronx Week runs from May 10 through 20.
