The family of a Bridgeport woman missing since 1993 celebrated her birthday Thursday.

Omayra Velasquez would have been 47 years old today.

Velasquez went missing in 1993 and was last seen on Iranistan Avenue and Gregory Street in Bridgeport.

Her family says her disappearance case has gone cold, but they still welcome tips from the public.

Her son says he wants answers about where his mother vanished to 27 years ago.
