Residents living at one public housing building in the Bronx say they are concerned for their security.
The residents say the buzzer inside the Sotomayor public housing building in Soundview is broken, and that means no one can be contacted inside their apartments. Residents say the issue has been ongoing for over 10 years.
But the buzzer might be the least of the residents' worries, they say the main entrance doors are also broken, and anyone strong enough to easily push them can walk right on in.
Residents say they want the buzzer fixed and a lock put on the door.
The New York City Housing Authority says it tested the door last month and that it was operational.
Housing authority officials say repairs will be made by this weekend.
