A Bronx business is putting a grant it received from Beyonce's BeyGOOD foundation during the pandemic to help bring the community together.

For the past month, a piece of art has been built from scratch inside an old rail station on Hunts Point Avenue.

The piece, which is designed to look like a car train, will serve as an art gallery and an outdoor meeting spot for the Boogie Down Grind Cafe.

The cafe has always been a haven for Bronx artists and entrepreneurs. Even through the pandemic, events took over the space.

Marija Abney is the founder of The Soapbox Presents, which celebrates and brings art to Black and brown communities.

She and her creative partner have been working for weeks to make their idea for the structure a reality in collaboration with the cafe.

A celebration will be held on Saturday when the installation will officially be in its new home at the cafe.
