As the death toll continues to rise in Haiti in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, Bronx residents are trying to help in the relief efforts.
The Living Faith Tabernacle church off of Southern Boulevard is collecting non-perishable items, toiletries and clothes to send to the desperate people of Haiti. They say no item is too small.
So far they have accepted dozens of donations from community members and parishioners. They say the country has been through so much misfortune and want to do everything possible to help.
The church will be open late throughout the week to accept donations and the church encourages people to call and arrange drop off times.
