Bronx Community College staff and students supported survivors Thursday through their second annual walk against domestic violence.
A sea of purple could be seen as they marched.
"Everybody knows someone consciously or unconsciously that has been a victim of domestic violence," said state Assemblyman Victor Pichardo.
Those participating say their message for everyone is that if you are a victim, it is not your fault.
The event let victims know help is available and that they don't have to suffer in silence.
