A Bronx family is looking for an 86-year-old woman who went missing after getting off the wrong bus stop five weeks ago.
According to police, the family says Mabel "Suzie" Daly got off the Bx17 bus stop at the corner of East 189th Street and Fordham Road. However, she was supposed to get off a few stops earlier and pick up something at a bakery.
"The bakery called me to tell me that my mom never showed up. I've been looking for my mom since June the 16 until now," says Georgette G., Daly's daughter.
Officers told the family that once Daly got off the bus, she walked down Fordham Road and headed towards Webster Avenue, but the direction she went after is unknown.
Daly is 4'11" and weighs 135 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
The family is offering $2,500 for any tips that lead to her being found.
“I need my mother to come home safe so if anybody see her out here, anybody have her, please release my mother because I need my mother," says Daly's daughter. "Something needs to be done.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
