Maria De Jesus says her son, 41-year-old Jason Cosme, has suffered from two brain injuries and walked out of his family's apartment after a home attendant fell asleep.
Police have been looking at cameras to try to figure out when exactly he left the building, which elevator he took and what door he went out of.
De Jesus says the clothes he wore when he left may not keep him warm.
