Hospital officials provided an update Friday on the conditions of the injured victims of last week’s deadly shooting at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital.
It has been one week since disgruntled ex-employee Henry Bello entered the hospital and opened fired, injuring six people and killing Dr. Tracy Tam.
Hospital officials say that so far one victim has been sent home while two have been transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital for additional surgery.
One victim has just begun walking, a medical student is now in rehab and a doctor with a hand injury is expected to undergo additional surgery, according to officials.
Despite the horror of the situation, officials added that these men and women are alive today thanks to the quick thinking of themselves and others.
