Bronx officials and community groups pitched in to help hurricane victims in the Dominican Republic by packing up supplies to send overseas.
Volunteers packed boxes full of clothes, medical supplies and non-perishable food. All the supplies were donated by Bronx residents.
Assemblyman Ruben Diaz Jr. (D-Bronx) says residents need to keep donating to victims because the damage left behind is likely long-term.
