Bronx residents are calling for action, saying several sinkholes continue to grow in University Heights and Morris Heights.
One of the sinkholes is near 181st Street and Aqueduct Avenue. Neighbors say it's been reported but not repaired. News 12 measured it at nearly 2 feet deep.
"You can see, the cracks are getting bigger and bigger," said Eva, a resident who has lived in the area for 35 years.
Other sinkholes were spotted nearby at:
Jerome Avenue and E 167th Street
W 183rd Street and University Avenue
Morris Avenue and E Tremont Avenue
News 12 reached out to the Department of Environmental Protection, and it issued the following statement: "DEP crews will be dispatched to inspect these locations and make any necessary repairs."
Anyone who would like to report a sinkhole, can call 311.
