Bronx state Sen. Luis
Sepulveda turned himself in to police Tuesday after being accused of choking
his estranged wife.
Police sources tell News 12 that Sepulveda and his estranged wife were fighting
inside their home.
Both filed prior complaints on Saturday against each other.
Sepulveda met with a judge for a virtual arraignment Tuesday evening, and a
court order of protection was served against him.
The state senator was ordered not to have any communication, whether in person
or virtually, with his wife unless they are both appearing in court.
Sepulveda faces a charge of criminal obstruction of breathing.
