A Bronx woman was sentenced on Thursday to two years in prison for attacking a Metro-North railroad conductor with a pumpkin.
Before the October 2021 attack, the train conductor asked the defendant, Alexis Adams, to get off the train because she did not have a ticket.
That's when Adams, who was 21-years-old at the time, unleashed an attack on the conductor, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
Investigators say Adams slammed the pumpkin on the conductor's face and punched her multiple times in the head and face.
The pumpkin stem caused lacerations under the victim's eye and near her ear.
She had to get stitches.
A purse and ID cards that were left behind at the scene helped MTA police to find her.
Adams pleaded guilty to felony assault in December 2023.
Three years of post-release supervision will follow the prison sentence.
