A Bronx woman is selling handmade afro-centric ornaments this holiday season.
Tiffany St. Christopher, the owner of The ChristmUs Corner, says finding decorations that reflect Black culture hasn't always been easy.
In 2021, she said she decided to create her own ornaments.
St. Christopher told News 12 that her ornament "Rocking Around the Afro puffs" was inspired by young girls, like her niece.
"I wanted to put the 'us' in Christmas. I just grabbed wooden pieces, and I came home, and I started painting," St. Christopher said.
St. Christopher said she's hoping that families that are looking for extra joy this holiday season will shop at the ChristmUs Corner for the gift of representation
