Woman and girls from the Academy of Mount Saint Ursula and Serviam Gardens joined together to participate in a breast cancer awareness walk.
The group met to walk laps around their neighborhood in honor of friends and family members affected by the disease.
According to the New York Department of Health, over 800 women from the Bronx are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
Organizers say this is the third year they have held the event.
