The city's hazardous air quality continues to impact businesses and city operations across the five boroughs, with the Bronx Zoo shutting its doors on Thursday due to the conditions.
Multiple families from overseas came to the Bronx Zoo to spend their day, with some even coming from as far as Finland and Colombia.
All four of the Wildlife Conservation Society zoos, including its aquarium, were closed because of the city's poor air quality due to wildfires that continue burning in Canada.
