St. Catherine of Alexandria Roman Catholic Church, which is located in a former red zone, welcomed worshippers back as Gov. Andrew Cuomo updated the state's zone boundaries.
Midwood, Mapleton, Bensonhurst and Borough Park were just some of the neighborhoods that faced tighter restrictions due to their infection rate.
The Diocese of Brooklyn says that five churches in the borough are no longer located in red zones.
The Diocese says while those churches have reopened their doors, the neighborhoods they are located in are listed in the yellow zones and will operate at a 50% maximum capacity.
