Police are looking for the drivers of two cars after a Brooklyn man was killed while lying unconscious in the street in the Bronx.
It happened Monday night at the intersection of East 162nd Street and Courtlandt Avenue.
According to police, David Pajarito Mendez, 38, was crossing the street around 9:30 p.m. when he tripped and fell down.
Surveillance video from a nearby business shows Mendez lying in the road for about 45 seconds before he is run over by two cars.
Police say Mendez suffered severe head trauma and injuries to his body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The New York City Police Department's Highway Patrol Collision Investigation Squad has taken over the investigation.
The video appears to show what looks like a cab and then an SUV running over the 38-year-old.
