Temperatures are rising and it’s feeling a little warmer than the Arctic Blast the region felt Thursday, but it is still cold -- especially when the wind blows!
The extreme winter weather is being seen across the nation as areas in the Midwest are grappling with cold they haven't seen in decades.
People outdoors in the Bronx are doing everything they can to stay warm, from bundling up in extra layers of clothing to holding warm cups of coffee in their hands.
While officials suggest staying indoors if possible, those who need to head outside are urged to keep a few safety tips in mind.
Try not to spend too much time out there, check on your elderly neighbors if possible, and remember that extreme cold can be dangerous for your pets as well.
