A local teen rescued a deer stranded in the water off Rye, New York, and it was all caught on video.
Eryk Wenziak works for the Norwalk and Stamford charter boat service Pelagic Beast and Klondike Fishing Charters.
The 19-year-old Fairfield Prep graduate says he was on a fishing excursion when he spotted the deer struggling in the water and rushed to the animal's rescue.
He said he did it with a little help from his friends.
"I am not too sure what I would have done without Tom being in the area. I would never have done it alone without his help and the help of Jason, and I am just grateful the deer was able to walk away on his own legs into the woods," Wenziak says.
He added that the deer was a little dazed but otherwise OK.
