WEDNEDAY: High temperatures Tuesday reached 60 degrees across the borough, just shy of the record high of 62 degrees set back in 2000. With a clear sky at night, these warm temperatures will cool off quickly with a cold morning commute with lows near 40 degrees.
MORE RAIN: While Wednesday will start sunny, clouds quickly move in around lunchtime with rain returning around 4 p.m. There could be a burst of heavier rain around 6-7 p.m. Rain tapers off through the late evening and ends before midnight.
THURSDAY: The sunshine returns for Thursday, but it will continue getting colder. Highs near 50 Wednesday dip to just 44 for Thursday. Then, all eyes turn to potential snow for Friday into early Saturday.
FRIDAY, SNOW POSSIBLE: A coastal storm is expected to be far enough offshore to limit how intense the snow will be, but depending on the exact track, there could be some accumulating snow Friday night. Over the last several days, the trend has been closer to Scenario No. 1 – which brings fringe flakes and minimal accumulation. If the storm track trends closer to the coast – Scenario No. 2 shows accumulating snow.
WEEKEND: Snow or not, behind the storm will be the coldest air of the season so far, with lows dipping to the teens and feeling like single digits by Sunday morning.
