A little bit of early morning rain couldn't stop shoppers at the Cross County Mall from getting there early to score some sweet Black Friday discounts.
The mall opened at 6 a.m., and saw a constant flow of people coming in to shop at the 80 stores in Cross County.
One shopper said to really get the most bang for your buck, it's all about having a gameplan.
"You gotta come out here prepared," said Liz Lopez. "You gotta know what sales you're looking for…We’ve been up since midnight. We just go from door to door, store to store and we have a great time,” she said.
Others were just happy to stumble upon a good sale.
"I think the best deals are like 50-60% off, buy one get one. You can find things for the teachers, the hostess gift, for the athleisure person. Teens, tweens, everyone in between,” said Liz Pollack.
"I got two jackets from Vans and I also got something from Foot Locker. Two things for myself and one thing for my brother,” said another shopper.
The Cross County Mall has already embraced the holiday spirit, with Christmas decor lining the walkways and a Christmas tree right in the heart of the mall.
