It happened back in late October.
Police say the teen approached a man outside the Triangle Deli on Ashburton Avenue, pulled out a gun and fired into his chest.
The victim, 27-year-old Javon Merrill, was rushed to the hospital where he died.
Authorities believe the incident was gang-related.
