The New York City Department of City Planning announced Wednesday it will begin public walking tours of the Cross Bronx Expressway.
The tours are part of the city's ongoing collaboration to tackle negative impacts of the highway while promoting the health and well-being of Bronx residents.
The walking tours will offer opportunities for the public to look at existing conditions around and underneath the highway.
The tours will take place in several Bronx neighborhoods every Saturday morning throughout September and October.
