A Bridgeport man is facing charges in Fairfield for allegedly stalking and slashing the tires of three of his former girlfriends.
Police in Fairfield say Thomas Capozziello, 28, was caught on surveillance video in some of the tire-slashing incidents.
Detectives say they determined Capozziello knew where some of the victims were because of a GPS tracking device that was linked to his phone.
He's accused of stalking them at home, school, work, the movies and other places.
"It was a device that was not only covered in a plastic bag to resist water or weather, but then it was taped to the underneath of one of the victims’ vehicles,” says Capt. Robert Kalamaras, of the Fairfield Police Department.
Police say Capozziello violated a restraining order in one of the cases. They say all three victims reported fearing for their safety – one of whom bought a Taser and pepper spray.
Police believe there could be more victims and want them to come forward.
Capozziello posted bond and is due in court next month.
