The Department of Education wants parents in the Bronx to get more involved in their children's education.
Outreach specialists from the DOE went from door to door on Monday to encourage parents to voice their ideas and concerns about what should go on at schools.
Parents had suggestions like increasing tutoring, academic support and counseling at schools.
Parents who want to get involved in their child's school are advised to come to the borough meeting on Aug. 19 at the New Settlement Community Campus.
