Hideki Matsui, a former outfielder for the New York Yankees, visited a Bronx baseball camp Wednesday to teach the kids there about nutrition.
Matsui, the 2009 World Series MVP, answered questions from the children, posed for photographs and explained how to stay healthy while playing baseball.
The American Dairy Association hosts the five-day camp, which serves a new group of boys and girls between 5 and 13 years old from the tristate area every week. Organizers say they have a roster of former MLB players to speak to campers throughout the summer.
It is also sponsored by Refuel, which helps make the camp tuition-free for the kids.
