A young man was gunned down while running errands for his mother on July 22 and now the family is demanding an arrest in the case.
The family of Armani Hamilton says he would donate his clothes to the homeless and work with children with disabilities.
Hamilton’s mother, Maria Gonzalez, said she sent her only child on errands and that she spoke with him on the phone minutes before he was shot and killed outside their Crown Heights home.
His mother says he was not involved in gangs and doesn’t understand who could have wanted her son dead.
"I don’t know what happened. I feel that he was set up. Anybody who knows anything, please. You know, I need closure, I need these people off the streets because if they could do it to my only son, they could do it to anybody,” said Gonzalez.
The NYPD says it is still looking into the shooting.
