Family and friends gathered Wednesday to mourn and celebrate the life of 7-year-old Layla Malon who police say was killed by her own mother.

A wake was held for Layla Malon.
Police say she drowned in her home last week, shortly before her mother Tracy Do took her own life.
Layla Malon will be buried Friday at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport.
