The family of Ramadan Kurtaj, the Bronx construction worker killed in last Friday?s deadly crane accident in Manhattan, will seek justice in court for the death of their relative.
The Kurtaj family attorney said his clients are taking legal actions against Demattis Constructions, New York Crane, the leaser, and the city.
There could be additional potential defendants now that the Manhattan district attorney opened a criminal investigation into whether a part of the crane that connects the cable and boom to the crane tower was removed from another site, after being deemed unsafe, and used at the East 91st Street construction site.
According to the victim?s friends, 27-year-old Kurtaj was working in the United States to support his family back home.
