A family-owned business on Fordham Road was vandalized by more than 100 people during the height of violent looting.
Store surveillance video shows the crowd swarming into the business, and the owner tells News 12 they stole from the register and smashed bottles.
There was so much damage that there was little to salvage. The owner tells News 12 he understands the injustice that happened to George Floyd but that the actions were senseless.
He says he has been waiting on a police report since Monday to assess the damage to his business of eight years.
As for rebuilding, he says he isn’t sure if that is even possible now.
