An FBI investigation occurred Thursday inside a Pelham Bay home owned by one of Mayor Eric Adams’ top advisors.

News 12 received a tip that FBI agents were blocking off all four corners of an intersection and entering a home at 1447 Gilespie Ave. early in the morning.

The FBI of New York has confirmed that it was conducting law enforcement activity at the site. Government trucks were also seen parked throughout the neighborhood hours later.

New York City’s Department of Finance data shows that the home is owned by Winnie Greco, a senior advisor to Adams. However, there is currently no confirmation that the law enforcement activity has anything to do with Greco.

In 2023, the Department of Investigation confirmed that they opened an inquiry into her after the publication The City reported on allegations that she tried to benefit improperly from her government position.

The department declined to comment on the FBI activity at the home Thursday.

A City Hall spokesperson issued the following statement to News 12:

“Our administration will always follow the law, and we always expect all our employees to adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines. As we have repeatedly said, we don’t comment on matters that are under review, but will fully cooperate with any review underway. The mayor has not been accused of any wrongdoing.”
