FDNY: 4 residents, 6 firefighters injured in Marble Hill building fire

Over 130 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene of the fire in what fire officials are calling a multiple-family dwelling.

Firemen and first responders are working to put out a blaze that started at a Marble Hill building on Monday.
According to the FDNY, the fire began just after 2:15 p.m. at 36 Marble Hill Ave. near the intersection of West 225th Street and Marble Hill Lane.
Over 130 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene of the fire in an apartment building. Four civilians and six firefighters have been injured in the fire but are expected to be okay.
Inspectors from the Department of Buildings arrived at the scene of the fire and issued a full vacate order for the building. Property owners have been ordered seal up the entrances to the building.
The Red Cross says that 25 adults, six children and six pets are being assisted at this time.
Members of the FDNY did recover lithium-ion batteries at the scene of the fire, however it has not been confirmed that those batteries were the cause of the fire.
The cause of the fire has yet to be confirmed.
