A tragic fire erupted around midnight on Colgate Avenue, resulting in a fatality and injuries to two officers, according to the FDNY.

Citizen App footage captured the scene located between Westchester Ave and Bronx River Ave.

Fire officials say the 3-alarm fire originating at the back of a 2-story building.

Tragically, a 50-year-old male was found in his home and pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, two officers were transported to Jacobi Hospital due to smoke inhalation. Thankfully, they are currently in stable condition at this time.
