Tenants were forced out of their homes Christmas morning due to a fire that broke out at an apartment in Kingsbridge, officials say.
It started at around 9:30 a.m. at a building on 275 West 238th Street.
The FDNY says they spent about an hour to get the flames under control. They say it seems like the fire may have started by something burning on the fifth floor.
The building's super said that the damage seemed to be limited to just four out of the 72 units.
The FDNY says one person was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.
News 12 is told the Red Cross will be helping anyone from the four apartments who needs a place to stay
