The FDNY fought a fire early Tuesday morning that left a Tremont restaurant badly damaged.
Fire officials say the fire broke out around 4 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 180th Street and quickly progressed to a two-alarm fire. Thankfully, there were no injuries.
One Bronx resident who passes the restaurant regularly says this is a bad hit to the community, as it was a local hotspot.
"I mean... a lot of people partying here all the time, and it's some nice Dominican people that own the restaurant," said resident Theodore Frias. "Now they're [mad] because somebody just burned their stuff down."
The FDNY has not released further information regarding what caused the fire.
