Firefighters and families from across the city came together Saturday at the Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance placing flowers, flags, pictures, lighting candles, and, most of all, sharing memories of those they lost after the Twin Towers fell.
The ceremony honored the amazing grace of the 343 firefighters who gave their lives saving countless people on Sept. 11, 2001.
Twenty years ago, two planes changed New York City forever leaving unimaginable pain, grief, and unanswered questions.
While the loss of the many brave men and women weighed heavily on the hearts of those at the ceremony, they also shared moments of strength and resiliency in the days following 9/11.
