The Fordham United Methodist Church hosted a Thanksgiving meal for underprivileged community members.
Featuring turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, vegetables and more, an assembly line of volunteers prepared a dream meal for many.
The church has hosted the meal for 15 years, with hundreds walking away stuffed each year. It benefits the homeless in the community, especially from one nearby shelter, and even gets help from some Fordham University students who volunteer.
Because the church is host to many cultures resulting in a vast diversity of food choices, each congregant takes a portion of what they make at home and brings it to the church.
The church recently celebrated its 165th anniversary.
