A Bronx family who had been searching for their new puppy since last week was reunited with their pet on Tuesday.
Janira and Hector Santiago called News 12 to say someone turned their puppy Luna into the police.
They say Luna is a therapy puppy for their kids and they didn't have time to get dog tags yet.
Hector Santiago says he was walking Luna in the bottom basket of a baby stroller last Monday when the dog hopped out. That's when he says someone told him they saw a woman in a white BMW pick up the dog and drive away.
Police have arrested Julia Johnhope, 20, on charges of petty larceny in connection with the case.
Santiago says the puppy is in good health.
