Former East Orange hospital worker sentenced to prison for stealing over $8M in HIV medication

A former pharmacy technician was sentenced to nearly five years in prison for stealing over $8 million in HIV medication.
Prosecutors say Lisa Hoffman stole the medication from the Veterans Affairs in East Orange. They say she ordered medication for the hospital and then took it before it was delivered.
Hoffman pleaded guilty to theft of government property last year.
She was sentenced to 57 months in prison.
