Rainy weather and cool temperatures may keep some crowds away this holiday weekend.
Crotona Park and Van Cortlandt Park were empty Saturday afternoon due to the wet conditions.
Some community members tell News 12 that this isn't what they had in mind for their Fourth of July weekend but they’re rolling with the punches.
The Van Cortlandt Track Club made it out for an early morning run to celebrate the 71st birthday of one of their members. They said they will take the wet and cool weather over the intense heat that started the week.
The weather is expected to clear up later this weekend.
