For those New Yorkers who have missed the fireworks at Coney Island, it’s time to get the blankets and lawn chairs ready, because they’re back!
The Alliance for Coney Island announced that fireworks are making a grand return to the park.
Park guests tell News 12 that there’s something unique about the fireworks.
“As things started opening back up, we started questioning ourselves if we’ll be allowed to have them. As the guidelines opened, we knew we could have something of this significance,” said Coney Island Alliance executive director Alexandra Silversmith.
The fireworks will begin on Friday, July 9 and will run every Friday through Labor Day weekend.
