Mourners attended the funeral Wednesday for an NYPD detective and U.S. serviceman killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan.
Family, friends and colleagues gathered to pay their respects to Detective Joseph Lemm at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan.
The 45-year-old was killed by a suicide bomber along with five other American troops.
Lemm was a 15-year NYPD veteran who served on the Bronx warrant squad since 2014. He lived in Westchester County.
He was a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air National Guard.
Lemm leaves behind a wife and two children.
