A faith-based organization located in the Bronx aims to help local residents achieve the American dream.
The Good Neighbors Community Outreach Agency is made up of volunteers helping out in their community, with the goal of turning the most vulnerable in the neighborhood into homeowners.
The group began in 2001 at New Testament Temple of God Church as a food and clothing pantry. As organizers realized there was a great need in the community, the mission expanded.
Now, Good Neighbors offers help with advancing education, navigating the immigration system and helping residents find jobs.
The outreach does not only help those located in the Bronx, but also sends supplies to Africa and Jamaica. In 10 days the group will be sending goods to Jamaica to help those in need there.
