The NYPD has not released the name of the man who died in the fire.

Members of the Gowanus Houses community and nearby residents are still dealing with aftermath of a fire on Sunday that killed person and injured three others.
The NYPD has not released the name of the man who died in the fire. The other three victims who were transported to the hospital are said to be in stable condition still.
Across the street from 178 Bond Street, where the fire broke out, firefighters distributed over 50 free smoke detectors at the local C-Town.
A NYCHA staff member tells News 12 that he is meeting with the tenant’s association to get more information about the fire and discuss the next steps for those impacted.
