Heavy rainfall and warming temperatures led to flooding in the Bronx Tuesday as melting snow and new precipitation gushed onto the streets.
Stranded drivers dotted the Claremont Parkway and Crotona Avenue even after the rain slowed during the evening.
In many places, water rose above the tires of parked cars, and tow trucks worked to pull vehicles out of the rising water.
The flooding led to traffic jams and confusion.
Dropping temperatures overnight could cause icy conditions once again.
