Members of the Islamic community in the Bronx gathered in parks across the borough to celebrate Eid, a holiday that comes after a month of prayer, fasting and reflection.
Hundreds of Bronx residents gathered at Bronx East Park and Claremont Park to take part in festivities with food, family and prayer.
“As you can see in the park, people of all races, all nationalities coming together in brotherhood and sisterhood to celebrate this wonderful day of Eid,” said Bassal Omar, a member of the Bronx Muslim Center.
