Jewish community preps for Rosh Hashanah ahead of 1-year anniversary of Oct. 7 attacks

A lot has changed in the past year, but not the resiliency of the Jewish community as this year’s High Holy Days are coinciding with the first anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks in Israel.
News 12 spoke with customers preparing for Rosh Hashanah at Riverdale Kosher Market, who said they are remaining positive after a year that saw rising antisemitism.
“It’s a really nice time of the year and we pray for all of us,” said one customer.
