A 23-year-old Carmel man has been charged with driving while intoxicated after a Christmas night accident in the Town of Kent.
Police say the man's 2021 Volkswagen struck and severed a utility pole on Farmers Mills Road around 5 p.m.
The crash caused wires to fall on the road, and a 55-year-old man who drove over the downed power lines in his Honda Ridgeline was taken to Westchester Medical Center after reporting he wasn't feeling well.
